Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga is the kind of RPG that respects the fact you're playing on a phone. Battles are turn-based and pause happily whenever you put the device down, so you can plan a fight, get interrupted by real life, and pick up exactly where you left off. The party system is generous, with a dozen companions who each have their own side stories worth chasing.

What kept me hooked was the writing. Dialogue has actual personality, choices nudge the plot in small but noticeable ways, and the world feels lived-in rather than a backdrop for grinding. Combat rewards thinking ahead — elemental weaknesses matter, and there's a satisfying click when a planned combo lands.

It's a big download and the early hours are a bit slow, but push through the first chapter and it opens up beautifully.
